Law decree No. 231 of June 8th, 2001 introduced the discipline of Company’s administration responsibility. According to such discipline, societies can be deemed responsible for, and as a result financially charged of some crimes committed or tried in the interest or advantage of the Company by their administrators or employees.
However, Companies can adopt organization, management and control models suitable to prevent crimes (“Model”); the principles of such models can be found in the Behaviour Code (Guidelines) prepared by Confindustria.
During the meeting of March 11th, 2005 Tecnomare Administration Council approved “Organization, Management, and Control Model ex Law Decree No.231 of 2001” (Discipline of Administration Responsibility of legal entities, societies and associations even if not granted legal status) and established a Supervisor Authority.
