Tecnomare operates in the field of subsea structures inspection, repair and maintenance and existing platforms re-analysis and rehabilitation, since 1984. Till today, the company performed in Suez Gulf, Mediterranean Sea, Northern Sea, and West Africa areas.

Since 1993, Tecnomare have also developed skills in hydrocarbons extraction plants engineering and maintenance activities. The involvement in several onshore and offshore plants design, which required maintenance handbooks preparation and consultancy on maintenance systems perfected those skills. As expected, the Company’s engineering experience turned useful for the improvement of plants availability and the rationalization of maintenance activities. The the typical information flow within an engineering company is applied to the production system life cycle, thus ensuring the optimization and balancing of CAPEX and OPEX pertinent to new fields development (life cycle approach).

The need to treat big quantity of maintenance data lead to the development of an integrated Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS), based on the personalization of work instruments available on the market. CMMS I oriented towards the following service: inspection; data collection and plant components classification; main equipment list preparation; plant criticality analysis; maintenance policy development; preventive maintenance working cycle definition and material lists. CMMS was developed and tested on over 150 onshore and offshore plants.
